Our Virtual Services aim to make health personal for our clients and employees, promoting a healthier way of working and challenging conventional norms while increasing flexibility and maintaining performance and customer satisfaction.

As a Triage Nurse within our Amplar Health services, you will assist people contacting us for clinical advice and support. Following triage, you will provide them with appropriate health information and/or provider referral if needed.

Training and start dates

Comprehensive and supportive virtual training is provided, with start dates available on specified days. You must be available to complete full-time training to be considered.

After training, you will receive ongoing support from our team of Senior clinicians who will guide you in your journey with us.

Hours and FTE

Fixed term contracts are offered part-time (22.5 hrs) to full-time (37.5 hrs) until 30th June 2026, with a possibility of extension.

Roster requirements

You must be available to work at least 65% after hours, Monday to Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday, and public holidays. Your roster must be fixed on a 2-week rotation, with at least one weekend per fortnight required.

Work from home requirements

Fast reliable internet with a minimum of 50 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds is required. An ethernet cable connection is necessary to ensure these speeds are maintained.

You should have:

Minimum of three years full time equivalent recent clinical nursing experience as Registered Nurse Division 1, with a current AHPRA Registration and no notations.

Varied nursing background involving substantial public contact, including but not limited to: A&E, Paediatric, Community Care and Acute Medical/Surgical.

Confidence in achieving a high standard of customer service in a call centre environment.

Demonstrated confidence and ability to work autonomously to resolve problems and issues.

Comfortable with computerised patient management systems.

Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal.

Extensive nursing assessment skills and a proven ability to work autonomously.

Availability to work weekends and nights.

Comfortable communicating through virtual mediums such as audio/video conferencing, instant messaging, chat rooms and collaborative software.

Commitment to continuing professional development.

Effective ability to communicate across multidisciplinary teams.
