We seek an experienced professional to lead data protection analysis and transformation projects. You'll be part of a thriving team driving digital transformation agendas of clients, influenced by regulatory changes in Australia and globally.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  1. Lead cutting-edge data protection projects across prominent organisations in Australia.
  2. Solve client data protection problems in innovative and forward-thinking ways.
  3. Support the team's strategy and pipeline creation.
  4. Influence client digital transformation agendas driven by regulatory changes.
  5. Counsel and mentor our team members.

This role offers leadership opportunities in the holistic data protection space, addressing practical challenges such as data asset protection, data lifecycle management, privacy challenges in data sharing, consent management, records management, and customer analytics.

The position may involve leading diagnostic assessments and designing data security and privacy controls across the information lifecycle.

About You

">
  • Proven experience in data protection, cyber, or data security advisory roles.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading project teams and coaching junior staff is desirable.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement at all organisational levels.
  • Assessing data protection capabilities, determining strategic priorities, investments, and change impacts.
  • Experience in data privacy or privacy-enabling technologies is desirable.
  • A strong desire to develop leadership skills and impact through data protection advice in digital and cyber transformation programs.
  • Interest in working across sectors including financial services, technology, media, energy, resources, and public sector.
  • Progress towards or completion of certifications like CISSP, CISM, CIPM, CIPT is desirable.
