In this role, you'll oversee and manage freight, warehouse workers, linehaul allocations, and drivers to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate warehouse and linehaul operations. You'll be responsible for supervising the operation and frontline linehaul operations, ensuring all freight is sorted and distributed to customers within designated timeslots. You'll optimize the usage of company and subcontractor equipment/resources in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee dispatching, routing, and tracking of freight
* Manage vehicles entering and departing the depot, ensuring compliance with DSC standards and legal requirements
* Oversee and ensure all vehicles are unloaded and loaded in accordance with company policies and procedures with safety front of mind for all workers
* Manage line-haul vehicles to ensure they are meeting scheduled loading and departure timeframes
* Oversee and manage speed compliance of all Linehaul drivers
* Manage and communicate freight movement to ensure systematic and consistent freight sortation
* Manage inbound/outbound vehicles to ensure freight is sorted in a manner that adheres to scheduled loading and departure timeframes
* Proactively manage company vehicles and forklifts in a cost-effective and resourceful manner, achieving efficient use of warehouse capabilities

Requirements:

* Well-developed administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with people at all levels
* Possess acute listening, time management, and problem-solving skills
* Possess flexibility, adaptability, and versatility of approach to handle changing work requirements
* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy across all transport functions
* Possess tact, discretion, diplomacy, and negotiating skills
* Ability to plan and coordinate activities to provide efficient services
* Solid knowledge of the transport industry
* Solid understanding of freight handling processes
