
Recalls Assurance Specialist

This role plays a vital part in enhancing vehicle safety, emissions control, and anti-theft protection within Australia's national vehicle standards regulator.
The Recalls Assurance Specialist will be responsible for a range of activities related to the notification of recalls by suppliers, monitoring recall progress, and providing guidance on recalls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to risk-based recall assurance and review activities using the department's system and other programs.
- Developing or contributing to recall policy and procedures.
- Analysing and assessing information gathered as a result of supplier reporting against recalls and drafting recommendations for decision makers.
- Liaising with industry and other government agencies.
- Engaging with stakeholders about recalls and related policy and legislation.
- Drafting high-quality written reports, publications, briefings, and correspondence.
- Contributing to the development, planning, and monitoring of work processes for the team.
To be successful in this position, you will have previous experience in a similar role within the Federal Government. You will also need to demonstrate your ability to quickly learn and understand new systems, excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and experience using Dynamics 365 or similar based systems, PowerBI, and Microsoft Office suite.
You must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance at the baseline level or higher.
