About The Role
The Crisis Case Manager plays a vital role within the Clinical Services Unit, responsible for delivering high-quality therapeutic services to children, youth, and families across MacKillop Family Services.
Working in partnership with therapists, the Crisis Case Manager provides intensive home-based treatment, ensuring young clients and their families receive comprehensive support.
This is an ongoing full-time opportunity based in Barwon, West Metro, and Brimbank/Melton, offering a chance to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with therapists to develop and implement interventions targeting behavioural change in children at home and school.
- Manage suicidal or homicidal threats and family safety risks, prioritizing the well-being of all parties involved.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of therapeutic clinical services, ensuring quality practice and a professional culture among client-facing staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, applicants must possess:
- A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, with relevant work experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake complex casework with families and children who have experienced trauma and present with complex needs.
- Sufficient flexibility to work evening and weekend hours, as well as participate in a rostered on-call schedule.
