About the Job

Salvos Stores is seeking a Full-Time Sales Assistant in Rockingham who loves retail, loves a challenge, and loves waking up each day with a passion for making a difference. As a Sales Assistant, you will support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and provide an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers, and community members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices;

  • Collecting, sorting, and pricing donations in store;

  • Assisting in the development and coordination of visual merchandising and store presentation;

  • Providing exceptional customer service;

  • Displaying stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure;

  • FOLLOWING Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures;

  • Demonstrating TSA core values in all work-related activities.

About You

We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on individual who is passionate about delivering outstanding results in a complex and rewarding retail environment. Previous experience in retail sales is not essential, but you will need to demonstrate your ability to provide extraordinary customer service and be comfortable aligning to The Salvation Army Mission and Values.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be flexible and work a rolling roster including weekends, and be prepared to work across various locations in the retail area. You will be an outstanding written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills and solid technical skills.
