About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management Specialist to join our Risk Control and Transformation team at Westpac Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of our risk management framework, ensuring that our risk management practices are aligned with our risk strategy and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to the business
  • Provide risk reporting and analysis to support business decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective risk management practices are in place
  • Identify and recommend improvements to our risk management framework and controls
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Requirements
  • Proven experience in risk management, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in a related field
