Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Caseworker to join our team at our Blacktown, NSW location. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing effective case management services to young people in our care, with a focus on achieving permanency and identified outcomes. This is a permanent full-time opportunity, working 38 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality casework services to young people in our care, including assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized case plans.
  • Work closely with the ITC team to develop and implement trauma-informed therapeutic strategies and plans that address presenting issues and promote positive behavioral outcomes.
  • Collaborate with young people, their families, and other relevant stakeholders to achieve identified outcomes and ensure the needs of each young person are met.
  • Contribute to the development and review of case plans, ensuring they are aligned with the young person's needs and goals.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, youth work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with young people with complex trauma and an understanding of adolescent development, trauma, attachment, and resilience theory.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in casework practice, preferably in Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) or child protection.
  • A strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
