About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Homestyle Aged Care. As a Senior Kitchen Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Food Service Assistants to provide fresh, high-quality meals for residents, including catering for special dietary requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Food Service Assistants to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen
  • Ensure that the kitchen is clean and safe, with proper food handling practices in place
  • Cater for special dietary requirements and provide nutritious and well-presented meals
  • Work collaboratively with the Chef Manager to achieve kitchen goals and objectives

Essential Requirements

  • Experience as a Cook in aged care
  • HLTFSE001 'Follow basic food safety practices'
  • HLTFSE005 'Apply and monitor food safety requirements'
  • HLTFSE007 'Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace'
  • Current and valid police check
  • Vaccination certificate
