Senior Women's Coaching Opportunity

The role of Senior Coach involves leading a team to foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment.

Responsibilities include developing training programs that focus on skill development, fitness, and team strategy. The Coach will also be responsible for player development, game strategy, and team culture.

Assistant Coaches will contribute to developing gameplay and support the Coach in creating a cohesive team culture.

We value work-life balance, but expect the Coach to be available for all games throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Coaching: Develop comprehensive training programs that emphasize skill growth, physical conditioning, and team tactics. Provide constructive feedback and lead the team during match days.
  2. Team Development: Collaborate with junior coaches to align coaching philosophies and ensure a pathway for youth players. Foster a strong club culture and promote player retention and recruitment.
  3. Communication and Administration: Maintain open lines of communication and provide regular updates on team progress.
  4. Health and Safety: Manage injuries and promote a culture of physical and mental well-being within the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Minimum Level 1 AFL Coaching Accreditation (or willingness to obtain). A current Blue Card is also required.
  2. A passion for women's AFL and sport. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  3. Ability to inspire and develop players of varying skill levels. Commitment to fostering an inclusive team environment.
