Strategic Contract Specialist

At Goal Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Contract Specialist to provide high-quality commercial and contract advice to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent Commonwealth approach across Sustainment and Acquisition contracts.

The ideal candidate will have current or recent Australian Defence experience, knowledge of Commonwealth legislative and policy frameworks, and excellent communication skills. You will also be required to review and assess key contract deliverables and engage with Contractors to enable development and agreement of non-conforming contract deliverables.

In this role, you will identify and mitigate procurement risks, assist in tender development, contract reform, and contract extension activities. You will also have the opportunity to work on large Defence projects and contribute to the success of our business.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality commercial and contract advice
  • Ensure consistent Commonwealth approach across Sustainment and Acquisition contracts
  • Review and assess key contract deliverables and engage with Contractors
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks
  • Assist in tender development, contract reform, and contract extension activities
