Job Title: Skilled Midwife Specialist

The hospital seeks a skilled midwife to deliver high-quality patient care and provide support to mothers and babies.

This role involves working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, participating in ongoing professional development, and contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to midwifery care.

  • We offer diverse case mixes, ranging from low-risk to complex obstetrics.
  • Ongoing professional development and skills training are available, with an experienced midwifery educator located within the unit.
About This Role:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, demonstrating empathy, respect, and professionalism.
  • Work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, communicating clearly and concisely with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in midwifery.
Requirements:
  • A minimum 3 years experience as a Registered Midwife.
  • AHPRA Registration.
  • Recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity.
