About the Role



We are seeking a talented Support and Engagement Coordinator to join our SRS Team. As a key member of our outreach and assistance team, you will play a pivotal role in uplifting residents and proprietors through innovative capacity-building techniques. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with residents to identify unmet health and social needs, encouraging greater resident engagement in various activities, supporting proprietors and staff in honing their skills and capacities, and partnering with health and community support services to enhance accessibility for SRS residents.



Key Responsibilities




  • Collaborate with residents to identify unmet health and social needs and connect them with necessary services and supports.
  • Encourage greater resident engagement in a variety of activities, both within their SRS and in the broader community.
  • Support proprietors and SRS staff in honing their skills and capacities to better understand resident needs, improve support planning, and effectively manage challenging behaviors.
  • Partner with health and community support services to enhance accessibility for SRS residents and improve their responsiveness to proprietors and staff.


Requirements




  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant health or human services discipline and/or demonstrated skills and experience in community engagement, assessment, and support planning in a Community Sector role.
  • Knowledge and experience of the Homelessness Sector.
  • A good understanding of NDIS and My Aged Care packages.
  • Working knowledge of local service systems and referral networks.
  • Desire to use advocacy as a way of improving the life/circumstances of our clients.
  • Current state-based driver's license.

  • Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience: $85,000-$95,000 per annum.
