Theatre Floor Coordinator Role

Our hospital is seeking a highly organized and dynamic Theatre Floor Coordinator to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Theatre Operations Management: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of theatre operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective coordination and efficient patient flow throughout the theatre department.
  • Patient Care: Maintain a patient-centric approach, ensuring high-quality care and safety standards are upheld during surgical procedures and recovery.
  • Equipment and Supply Management: Coordinate the availability and functionality of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of surgical cases, maintain records of patient information, and adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Staff Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide ongoing support and training to theatre staff.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance theatre efficiency, patient experience, and overall departmental performance.
  • Emergency Response: Remain calm and take charge in emergency situations, following established protocols and ensuring the safety of patients and staff.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in healthcare, nursing, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring smooth coordination and efficient utilization of resources.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, capable of handling challenges and making informed decisions under pressure.
  • The ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing demands and priorities within a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations, infection control standards, and accreditation requirements is advantageous.
