Head of Medical Education Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our medical education initiatives. As Head of Medical Education, you will oversee the development and implementation of culturally safe training programs for general practitioners and supervisors nationwide.

  • This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health education in Australia.
  • You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to align education with national frameworks and standards.
About the Role:

As our Head of Medical Education, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing culturally safe training programs for registrars and supervisors.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure education meets national standards.
  • Mentoring GP registrars and supervisors in cultural education.
  • Leading national governance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health education in GP training.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
  • A strong track record of leadership in medical education and training.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
  • RACGP or ACRRM fellowship with current clinical practice.
