Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Scientist to join our team at NSW Health. As a Radiographer Lvl 2, you will be responsible for providing a quality, sustainable diagnostic imaging service to our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a wide range of imaging services, including CT, with minimal supervision.
  • Interpret request information, select the most appropriate protocol, and adapt imaging if necessary.
  • Work within a team, share the allocation of workloads according to skills and competencies, and participate in the department roster, including on-call as required.
  • Maintain current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and EPA licence to use radiation (IA1).
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures affecting medical imaging.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the multidisciplinary delivery of person-focussed services.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • EPA licence to use radiation (IA1).
  • Unrestricted drivers' licence with the ability to maintain.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Experience working in a range of clinical settings.
