Senior Estimator

About the Role
As a Senior Estimator with BMD Urban, you will contribute to preparing estimates for minor infrastructure projects and urban development projects throughout South East Queensland up to $70 million. This is an opportunity to transition from a site-based to an office-based role, where you will lead estimates by obtaining prices and overseeing quotes from sub-contractors while preparing an estimate from First Principles.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of tenders and develop the team's skills associated with estimating.
- Analyse all quotations for the supply of materials, plant, sub-contractors, and select the quotations that reflect the best outcome for the tender.
- Ensure that all schedules which are part of the tender submission are completed in line with the requirements of the tender documents.
- Seek input from the construction site staff to ensure that the best possible information is incorporated into the tender.
Requirements
- 7+ years' experience in Estimating.
- Experience in preparing estimates from First Principles.
- Experience in Expert Estimation.
- Project delivery experience is not required but will be highly regarded.
- Effective, concise, and appropriate communication to all stakeholders.
