Current Opportunity: Quality Management Function

We are seeking a skilled Manager to join our Independence, Conflicts and Ethics (ICE) team at BDO Australia. This newly created role will focus on implementing a global conflict and independence system, enhancing efficiencies across BDO globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Project Lead, Service Line Quality Leads, and stakeholders to establish best practices and processes for compliance with professional standards and BDO policies.
  • Develop and implement policies, accompanied by learning resources, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Liaise with other BDO firms to share best practices and obtain feedback throughout the project's progression.
  • Establish and manage a team responsible for executing policies and procedures, including data upload and verification.
  • Identify and address risks, escalating issues promptly to relevant leaders.
  • Participate in global calls as the BDO Australia representative.
  • Manage various project components throughout different implementation stages.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role within a professional services firm is highly valued.
  • A passion for driving process change within an organization, leveraging tools and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading process mapping discussions and incorporating stakeholder feedback to reach agreement on draft policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to problem-solve through collaboration with Partners and senior staff.
  • Proven experience in successfully managing, motivating, and developing teams.
  • Knowledge of and application of the APESB Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (including independence standards) is an asset.
