Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Operations Manager to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for planning and executing the transportation of goods from our Distribution Centers to stores across the country.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement efficient transportation plans using routing software 'Route Planner' and SAP.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure smooth execution of transport plans.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot changes and/or problems to ensure on-time delivery of goods.
  • Use initiative to control, manage and continually improve the quality and efficiency of work.
  • Present recommendations to relevant stakeholders to improve processes and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience within Logistics operations highly regarded.
  • Understanding of different vehicle types (B-doubles or rigid vehicles).
  • Experience with the 'Route Planner' software highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of professionalism and dedication.
  • Accountability and take of ownership in areas of responsibility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Salary and Benefits:
We offer an attractive salary package including a base salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as 5 weeks annual leave, above market remuneration, onsite parking, and continued pay increases yearly.
