Driving Quarry Efficiency

This is a key leadership role that drives quarry operations and ensures efficient and cost-effective production. The successful candidate will have a background in mining and quarrying, with experience in lean manufacturing and proven management practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations with a focus on improvement to drive down costs and increase efficiency.
- Work closely with Quarry Managers to achieve operational excellence while meeting customer service requirements.
- Demonstrate effective leadership to ensure a highly motivated team.
- Cultivate a positive and initiative-taking approach to coaching, mentoring, and training relevant staff.
- Drive customer relationships to ensure suitable outcomes.
- Prepare reports on work in progress, costs, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Report monthly performance against KPIs and budget trends.
- Assist in developing operational budgets for all relevant sites.
- Must hold a QLD SSE ticket.
- Background in mining, quarrying, and delivery processes.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing.
- Proven management, leadership practices, and planning ability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Well-developed leadership and team building experience.
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
