Cyber Security Executive

An exciting opportunity exists for a seasoned Cyber Security professional to join our organisation and lead the IT Security Team in managing day-to-day security operations, protecting against cyber threats.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, enabling them to convey technical terminology into business risks, and work collaboratively with C-level executives on a regular basis.

This senior role involves:

  1. Managing the IT Security Team, working closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to ensure the effectiveness of security strategy, framework, policies, and standards.
  2. Conducting risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities to digital assets, and implementing risk management activities and practices.
  3. Leading vendor management, hands-on roles, and security strategy and roadmaps to help the organisation achieve its cyber security ambitions.
  4. Reporting key security and risk metrics, including phishing campaigns results, monthly.
  5. Managing incident response in the event of a security breach or cyber-attack.
  6. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and regulations.
  7. Maintaining up-to-date IT Security policy, procedures, and standards, and reporting deviations identified through day-to-day operations.

Key qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing security teams.
  • Experience with industry-standard security tools.
  • Strong understanding of IT security strategy and roadmaps.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud.
  • Agile project methodology capabilities.
  • Customer/member-first approach to service/product design and delivery.
  • Innovation and digital process re-design experience.
