As a Performing Arts Educator, you will create a supportive and organized learning environment that fosters student-centered learning. This involves collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement high-quality curriculum programs and assessing student progress.
You will work closely with the school leadership team to contribute to the professional life of the school and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and promote student learning outcomes.
The role also involves creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that aligns with relevant curriculum, policies, and practices.
- Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs aligned with Australian Curriculum requirements
- Providing feedback and reporting on student progress
- Collaborating with peers to enhance teaching practices and promote student learning outcomes
- Engaging in ongoing professional learning to stay up-to-date with contemporary teaching practices
- Contributing to the school's professional life through collaborative work with the leadership team
- Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching performing arts subjects
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy practices, as well as a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
- Commitment to child safety and exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organizational skills and ability to engage with colleagues, students, and parents
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
