Job Role:

The Junior Trader is responsible for assisting senior traders in managing client relationships, leveraging all trading opportunities, closing deals, and ensuring details of trades are accurately captured.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Promote the company as a leader in the industry and support management and/or senior traders in facets of the business
  • Maintain and develop existing client relationships to foster long-term partnerships
  • Identify prospective new clients and engage with them where deemed appropriate
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the products and markets in which we operate
  • Monitor markets and stay up-to-date with financial news and developments
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of market intelligence and analysis
  • Gain full operational knowledge and understanding of the trade lifecycle
  • Understand the company's business strategy and seek to identify new business opportunities relating to trends, future markets, products, and clients
  • Assist in the on-boarding of new clients following the correct process with the Client On-Boarding team
  • Leverage both product and client understanding to Identify internal cross-selling opportunities
  • Ensure all market communication is documented in approved mediums
  • Stay informed about pertinent regulation within the evolving regulatory landscape
  • Support a risk and compliance-aware culture and comply with group policies
  • Exercise independent judgement and act with integrity, care, skill, and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and escalate issues as appropriate
