Biodiversity Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Ecologist with a strong background in biodiversity evaluation within the New South Wales region. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about mentoring and developing junior team members. You will be part of a dynamic and high-achieving ecology team that collaborates across various offices in Australia.

The role is primarily based in our Neutral Bay office. While we prefer a full-time commitment, we are open to part-time arrangements for the right candidate, ensuring flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting both desktop and field-based terrestrial biodiversity evaluations
• Offering guidance on environmental designs, including fauna connectivity solutions
• Formulating biodiversity offset strategies and executing biodiversity monitoring
• Enhancing the skills of junior staff members
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams
• Producing reports that meet exceptional technical and editorial standards

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• BAM accredited assessor
• Experience in conducting biodiversity assessments in NSW
• Proficiency in identifying NSW vegetation communities
• A commitment to fostering growth and leadership in others
• An understanding of commercial risk management within the consulting sector
• Valid driver's license.
