About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Storage Consultant to join our team in Sydney. As a Senior Storage Consultant, you will be responsible for designing and implementing storage solutions for our clients.

Job Description
  • Design and implement storage solutions for clients.
  • Work with Hitachi Unified Compute Platform (UCP) on an ongoing basis.
  • Contribute to the architecture framework and contribute to the IT vision and strategy.
  • Implement detailed storage designs based on project needs.
  • Review future designs for technical supportability within existing team capability.
  • Implement new and expansions of storage allocations.
  • Manage Storage Reporting Tools and Management Consoles.
  • Contribute to the Service Level framework and ensure infrastructure alignment with this framework.
  • Deliver engineering infrastructure solutions in alignment with standards and patterns.
  • Meet project milestones to ensure program and project objectives are met in a timely manner.
  • Drive storage strategies and recommend industry best practices for storage solutions, provide proactive storage forecasting, design and deploy effective storage solutions, research new and emerging technologies.
  • Day-to-day storage management.
  • Troubleshoot, and provide support services around Storage systems and Virtualization infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Strong experience dedicated to implementing and managing multi-vendor enterprise storage technologies.
  • Primary experience needs to be on Hitachi Unified Compute Platform (UCP), Storage and VMware.
  • Demonstrated experience to work autonomously with minimal supervision in an organisation with a mature approach to change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently in a challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to work in a consulting role and build relationships with clients.
  • Solid understanding of Hitachi Storage
  • In-depth knowledge of storage concepts and architecture.
  • Experience with disaster recovery strategies.
  • Past experience in solving both common and complex technical problems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT processes and best practices relative to backup and recovery Replication/DR - Storage replication technologies.
  • Prior experience working in a consultancy/service provider/professional services.
  • Ability to excel under high pressure environments.
Salary Estimate:

The estimated salary for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per year, depending on experience.
