About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our team at Databricks Inc. As a key member of our pre-sales team, you will play a critical role in guiding the technical evaluation phase of our sales process. Your expertise in data engineering and cloud architecture will be instrumental in helping our customers achieve tangible data-driven outcomes through the use of our Data Intelligence Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical evaluations and provide expert advice to our sales team on data engineering and cloud architecture.
- Collaborate with our product team to develop and implement architectures that meet our customers' needs.
- Design and implement data engineering solutions using Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, AI, and Data Science.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
- Engage with our technical community by leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups on data engineering and cloud architecture.
- Work closely with our account executives to form successful relationships with clients and provide technical and business value.
Requirements
- Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across various industry markets.
- Strong understanding of data engineering and cloud architecture, with a focus on public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience designing and implementing architectures within public clouds.
- Fluent coding experience in Python or Scala, with expertise in Apache Spark and Java.
- Experience with Big Data technologies, including Apache Spark, AI, Data Science, Hadoop, Cassandra, and others.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to demonstrate technical concepts and present to clients.
