About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Second Fix Carpenter to join our Maintenance and Facilities team at Adelaide Oval. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering carpentry support to ensure that all assets and building maintenance are executed at a World-Class standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing preventive and reactive maintenance tasks throughout the venue, focusing on carpentry, door furniture, and joinery maintenance.
  • Lead role in all carpentry matters, ensuring that all assets and building systems are delivered to a high standard.
  • Completing projects on time and within budget, while assisting in presenting the Adelaide Oval for State, National, and International events efficiently and effectively.
  • Liaising with all departments within the organisation about their maintenance needs in a timely manner.
  • General maintenance, stadium seating repairs, expansion joints, windows, and glazing work as required.

Requirements

  • Trade qualifications in an area such as second-fix Carpentry.
  • Minimum three years experience, preferably on a large construction site or stadium environment.
  • Practical experience in contractor management and planned preventative maintenance works.
  • Exceptional time management skills and working to a schedule.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while demonstrating drive and initiative.
  • Effective communication skills and team player.
  • Good physical fitness and strength.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent personal presentation.
  • Clean workspace presentation upon completion of tasks.
  • Strong focus on WHS.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond quickly to change.
  • A willingness to assist in other areas as required.
  • General capability in using Microsoft Office and other software.
