About This Role:
As a Senior Mining Engineer at Thiess, you will play a key role in providing accurate and timely medium and short-term mine planning systems and processes. Your goal will be to enable the business to meet its contractual production targets in a cost-effective manner and seek opportunities to improve overall project performance.

About You:
This role requires a strong background in mining operations, with a focus on mine planning and scheduling. You should have a thorough understanding of open-cut mining methods and the costs associated with mine planning and drill-and-blast activities. Prior experience in leading and mentoring engineers is beneficial, as is the ability to implement mining processes and systems in a brown or green-field site. You should also be proficient in mining software, such as Vulcan, Surpac, Datamine, and Minesight, as well as the Microsoft Office suite. Effective communication and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to meet tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
