Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Royal North Shore Hospital.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the maintenance and upkeep of the hospital, assisting trades with reactive and planned maintenance tasks, relocating and disposing of hospital furnishings and equipment, and performing general maintenance duties.

Main Responsibilities- Assist trades with reactive and planned maintenance tasks including repairs and replacements of furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Relocate and dispose of hospital furnishings and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as repairing door handles, hanging door hooks/picture frames, and patching and painting damaged walls
- No prior experience required but a background in labouring, handyman, removals, or trade assistance is desirable
- Familiarity and comfort using hand tools
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks and be on feet for long periods
This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm (flexible start and finish times). The remuneration package includes competitive pay, employee discounts, and opportunities for career development.
