Lime Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Senior Government Communications Advisor to join our team on a contract basis. As a Senior Communications Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans, overseeing stakeholder engagement initiatives, and maintaining a positive relationship between the project and the public.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in a communications and community engagement role, preferably within infrastructure, construction, or government sectors. They will possess International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) Certification or be willing to obtain certification independently.
- In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute a strategic communications plan to support the infrastructure project's objectives and milestones.
- Lead community engagement efforts, including public consultation, to foster positive relationships and address community concerns.
- Craft clear and compelling messaging for various platforms, such as media releases, social media, newsletters, and project updates.
- Coordinate with project managers, government bodies, and contractors to ensure accurate and timely communication of project developments.
- Prepare briefing materials, speeches, and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage, public opinion, and industry trends to inform communication strategies.
- Manage crisis communications and issues resolution, providing swift and appropriate responses to mitigate potential negative impacts on the project and department's reputation.
