About the Role

AusNet Services is seeking a skilled Asset Inspector to join our team in Lilydale. As an Asset Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our electricity distribution network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed examinations of distribution and sub-transmission overhead line systems to identify any components or features that require maintenance.
  • Report on any defects or issues found during inspections and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in mandatory and company-authorised training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to the Asset Inspection Manual and other relevant documentation to ensure compliance with company procedures.
Requirements
  • Certificate II in Asset Inspection is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated success in the role of Asset Inspector and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • VESI Mandatory Skills and Training requirements for an Asset Inspector.
  • Adaptability to changing environments and working conditions.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
  • Exposure to working closely with key internal customers and suppliers across all levels.
  • Sufficient operational hands-on experience in the area of expertise to build and maintain credibility across stakeholder groups.
  • High level of personal drive, including demonstrated success in delivering results against KPIs.
  • Willingness to complete training courses as required.
