Forensic Mental Health Clinical Practitioner Role

We are seeking experienced mental health nurses to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a specialist program area of corrections.

As a clinical practitioner, you will work with complex cases involving individuals with histories of violent and sexual offending.

About the Position:
  • Deliver best-practice forensic intervention in a correctional environment, working within the Risk-Needs-Responsivity model.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, and treatment interventions using evidence-based assessment tools.
  • Prepare treatment plans, reports, and risk assessments for internal and external stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Registration as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
  • A current driver licence.
