Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering Team in a day shift role at our manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality and efficient maintenance services during planned maintenance, breakdowns, and deployment of new plant and machinery.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a range of equipment including high-speed fillers, mixers, conveyors, sensors, hydraulics, robotic machinery, and packaging machines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, control, and diagnose FMCG machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults, production breakdowns, start-ups, and operating settings using hydraulic & pneumatics.
  • Conduct planned maintenance and utilise systems such as MEX.
  • Work with steam and/or gas appliances.
  • Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a 24/7 FCMG environment.
  • Experience in planned maintenance systems (MEX), organisation, and customer focus.
  • Steam or gas appliance experience.
  • Experience with automation.
  • Confined Space, Working at Heights, and EWP certification would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Show a great deal of initiative and be a strong advocate of teamwork.
