Our client is a vital part of Queensland's $50 billion building and construction industry, employing 235,000 Queenslanders and playing a crucial role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets.

They have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join their team based in Queensland, responsible for inspecting electrical installations to validate compliance with AS/NZS Standards, Contract Documentation, Specifications, and standard of workmanship.

  • Inspecting electrical installations, including smoke alarm installations, ceiling fans, switchboards, sub-circuits, and electrical reticulation systems.
  • Electrical site inspections of upgrade projects and air conditioning installs.
  • Carrying out safety audits to validate that electrical contractors are following their SWMS.
  • Liaising with clients and contractors in relation to completion of projects.
  • Investigating technical issues and providing written technical reports.
  • Reporting status of works to line managers and others.
  • General Computer Admin Duties.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Electrician.
  • Must hold a current QLD Electrical Workers License.
  • Hold a current QLD driver's license.
  • Blue Card.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal history check.
  • Must have a high level of verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to use the suite of Microsoft applications.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules), and the Electrical Safety Act, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
  • Must have completed training in asbestos-related work practices.
