About the Role
Mater Misericordiae Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a dynamic and challenging role. As a key member of our Perinatal Care team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients and their families, while also contributing to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice autonomously and interdependently at an advanced clinical level, using a framework of evidence-based clinical practice.
- Provide expert patient-centred consultancy practice, participating in direct patient care provision across a series of services.
- Consult, communicate, and provide feedback to relevant Medical Consultants, including the patient's General Practitioner, and other members of the healthcare team involved in the patient's care.
- Participate in, manage, and facilitate periodic review and implementation of clinical processes, quality indicators, and guidelines for the specialty.
- Work with Nursing/Midwifery Unit Managers and colleagues to support and drive succession planning and proactively promote the role of the nurse in relation to delivery of patient care.
- Lead audit and research, and develop interdisciplinary team guidelines and protocols incorporating current evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrate leadership as a role model and expert clinician for the provision of excellence in patient care using evidence-based practice and professional commitment.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Endorsement/eligibility to obtain endorsement with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Thorough knowledge of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation concepts when planning patient and carer needs.
