Mental Health Clinician Role

We are seeking experienced mental health professionals to become clinicians in our Forensic Intervention Services (FIS) team.


About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for qualified mental health nurses to work with a multidisciplinary team, providing best-practice forensic intervention in a correctional environment. As a clinician, you will deliver individualised services, including comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, treatment interventions, and treatment programs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive assessments, including risk assessments
  • Conduct clinical interviews to determine appropriate treatment pathways
  • Employ evidence-based assessment tools for treatment interventions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, reports, and risk assessments for internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you must be registered as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses and hold a current driver's licence. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
