About Us: We provide vital support and services to children and adults with disabilities and aged care in Queensland and northern New South Wales.

We are part of the CPL Group consisting of various organisations that share our mission to deliver exceptional care and support.

Role Summary: As a Behaviour Support Advisor, you will ensure we are working within all legislative requirements regarding restrictive practices and contribute to uplifting the capability and capacity for our teams to understand positive behaviour support (PBS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support across services
  • Build capacity within teams to recognise and report restrictive practices
  • Monitor and support reporting of restrictive practice to the relevant authorities
  • Collaborate internally and externally to implement PBS plans

Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with clients who exhibit challenging behaviours
  • Experience in a similar industry and knowledge of local service providers
  • Ability to work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work under pressure
