Housekeeping Inspector Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Housekeeping Inspector is to ensure that all guest rooms and areas are cleaned and maintained according to established property standards.

  • Perform regular inspections of all checkout rooms in the hotel to guarantee adherence to departmental policies.
  • Verify that all guest rooms are ready for occupancy in a timely manner to maximize guest satisfaction and retention.
  • Inspect guest access areas (corridors, elevator landings, stairwells) to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance.

The incumbent will also be responsible for:

  • Developing department members' knowledge and skills through education, training, and coaching to enhance job performance and efficiency.
  • Tracking and maintaining the deep clean program to ensure a high level of cleanliness throughout the hotel.
  • Exhibiting a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying management of concerns and observations.
  • Conducting personal behavior assessments and selecting, training, coaching, counseling, appraising, and retaining direct reports who consistently demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company's Mission and Values.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Promoting positive guest relations at all times to enhance the overall hotel experience.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the hotel's operations and goals.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of housekeeping experience in a similar hotel environment.
  • One year of housekeeping supervisory experience in a similar environment is preferred.

The successful candidate will exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
