 Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze structures, including buildings, bridges, and dams, to ensure they meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct site investigations and gather data on structural conditions to inform design decisions.
  • Evaluate the strength and stability of existing structures to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop detailed design calculations and specifications to ensure structural integrity.
  • Collaborate with architects and other professionals to ensure structural designs meet client and industry standards.
  • Review and approve structural designs prepared by junior engineers to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for proposed projects to inform business decisions.
  • Perform structural inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Structural Engineer in a similar role.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software, such as SAP2000 or ETABS, to inform design decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve structural issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
