Senior Data Strategist

We are seeking an experienced data professional to lead the development of a major IT enhancement project.

This role will involve mapping existing data holdings, inputs and dependencies impacted by the project, as well as investigating and recommending optimisation of the use of data holdings for different streams of the project.

The successful candidate will design and implement data architecture and integration frameworks that enable best practice data lifecycle management and ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies and regulations.

In addition, they will collaborate with key stakeholders to optimise existing reporting processes, including setting standards for data accuracy and quality.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Data Architect in Australian Public Service settings, preferably within agencies with regulatory compliance responsibilities is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of assessing and optimising data holdings to ensure effective execution of business operational and strategic responsibilities and goals is essential.
  • A working understanding of data security controls required by DISR is also necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, including negotiation and presentation skills for diverse audiences, are crucial for this role.
