About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Technology Function, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines to ensure high availability and performance of our data sets.

  • Design and implement data pipelines that are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure our Azure-based Data and Integration Platform adheres to best practices in data transformation and engineering workflows.
  • Implement and enforce data governance frameworks for data quality, security, compliance, and integrity.
  • Support the scalability, reliability, and security of our Data and Integration Platform, aligning platform strategy with enterprise architecture goals and business needs.
  • Act as a technical leader and identify opportunities for process enhancement within the Technology Function.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to improve data engineering efficiency and effectiveness.

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. You should have 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with exposure to operational asset management and customer data structuring.

Key Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, SQL), data formats (JSON, XML, YAML), and data movement protocols.
  • Experience with databases and storage solutions (SQL, NoSQL, Blob storage).
  • Knowledge of common data modelling techniques (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).
  • Understanding of authentication/security frameworks (RBAC, encryption standards).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure technologies, particularly Azure SQL, Azure Integration Services, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI data modelling.
