About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to spearhead our multidisciplinary engineering teams. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring alignment of engineering activities with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure engineering activities align with business objectives.
  • Act as a key technical advisor to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and direction for engineering activities within the company.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies that support the company's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new engineering solutions.
  • Ensure all engineering projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Oversee workforce and resource planning for the engineering departments.
  • Collaborate with department managers and Human Resources to address and manage people matters.
  • Work with Human Resources on recruitment initiatives.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Ensure technical compliance, quality, and coordination between departments.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, procedures, tools, and systems for all engineering services.
  • Provide input into the strategic plan to assist with the growth of the engineering team.
  • Provide monthly reporting on the overall performance of engineering projects. Report on and present project performance in executive and board meetings as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Over 20 years of engineering experience within the resource sector.
  • Extensive management and team mentoring experience.
  • Strong understanding of technical compliance and quality control.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
