About You :

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant
  • Proven ability to manage, train, and mentor a kitchen team
  • A long-term career move sought after
  • Confident in fast-paced environments with a focus on maintaining high food quality
  • Experience with all financial aspects
  • Preference for working in a small community

Position Summary :

As the Head Chef, you will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for managing an efficient and happy kitchen. This includes staff management, training, and kitchen operations across preparation, service, and administration. The ideal candidate should have experience in a management capacity, contemporary café menus, and exceptional knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and team culture.

Key Requirements :

  • Significant experience as a Chef in a reputable establishment with high ratings from the local food scene
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality food
  • Ability to motivate, lead, and develop a passionate team
  • Experience with managing suppliers, food costings, staffing, and budgeting
  • Capability to create innovative and iconic menus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the company directors to achieve the company vision
