Senior Business Analyst Role

The Organisation seeks a Senior Business Analyst to join its Data and Strategy team. This is a 6-month contract opportunity for a Sydney or Melbourne based candidate.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in financial services or BIG4 consulting, and proficiency in data manipulation, statistical tools, and visualisation platforms.

We are looking for someone who can interpret complex datasets, develop data models, transform analytical insights into actionable business recommendations, and support P&L management through forecasting, financial modelling, and performance analytics.

About the Opportunity:

  • This role provides a direct line of impact on organisational decision-making and offers the unique opportunity to shape the retirement and superannuation strategy through actionable, data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret complex datasets to deliver insights that enhance superannuation and retirement strategies.
  2. Partner with the enterprise data team to develop data models that inform strategic and commercial decisions.
  3. Transform analytical insights into actionable business recommendations that improve both member outcomes and business performance.
  4. Support P&L management through forecasting, financial modelling, and performance analytics.
  5. Design and deliver clear, insightful dashboards and reports to a range of internal stakeholders.
  6. Monitor emerging trends and sector developments to inform long-term strategic planning.

About You:

  • A strong background in data analysis, preferably in financial services or BIG4 consulting.
  • Proficient in data manipulation, statistical tools, and visualisation platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
  • A solid understanding of commercial P&L structures and financial performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn complex data into clear, strategic insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team player with experience working across business units.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
