Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished full-time EAL/D teacher to join our EAL/D team and the Junior School in a temporary position, commencing Term 1, 2025. This role will provide EAL/D expertise for teachers K - 6 who teach multilingual students, assessing students and providing in-class and withdrawal support, collaborating with classroom teachers in the development of inclusive social and academic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach EAL/D students in K - 6, developing and implementing programs that scaffold the NSW Curriculum
  • Assess students and provide targeted support, collaborating with classroom teachers to develop inclusive programs
  • Develop and apply programs, tools, and resources to support EAL/D students
  • Work collaboratively with the EAL/D team and Junior School staff to achieve student outcomes
Requirements
  • Experience in teaching EAL/D students in K - 6
  • Significant experience in teaching EAL/D students
  • TESOL studies or language-related postgraduate qualification
  • Flexible and collegial approach
