Job Summary

This senior role offers the opportunity to lead complex engineering projects while contributing to innovative solutions across diverse sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Technical Leadership
    • Deliver detailed design for all elements of hydraulics, including water supply and drainage systems.
    • Maintain technical understanding and knowledge base in hydraulics.
    • Carry out design calculations and return briefs, whilst working to project timelines and budget.
    • Problem-solve complex design challenges, delivering great solutions for clients.
  • Project Management
    • Coordinate and manage multi-discipline teams.
    • Project involvement through all phases, from tender preparation and design delivery through to construction support.
    • Carry out project administration such as scheduling, estimating and report preparation.
    • Satisfy codes, standards, project and quality requirements.
  • Client Engagement & Team Development
    • Direct client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Client/design meetings and site inspections.
    • Mentor and coach junior engineers and designers.
    • Built relationships with clients, project teams and internal teams.
Requirements
  • 8+ years' experience in building services engineering, ideally in consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering highly regarded.
  • RPEQ or QBCC licence essential.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering.
Technical Expertise
  • Solid experience in hydraulic services engineering from concept to construction completion.
  • Extensive experience with complex hydraulic services engineering projects.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and National Construction Code.
  • Proficiency with latest technology – REVIT/AutoCAD, BIM360, HYENA, Microsoft Suite.
  • Revit design and modelling experience highly regarded.
Leadership & Management
  • Experience leading and coordinating multi-discipline projects.
  • Prolific mentorship skills.
  • Proven project, organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, both technically and non-technically.
