Ecology Trainee Role

We are seeking a trainee ecologist to join our team. As a junior ecologist, you will be trained in technical expertise on ecological projects with a focus on botanical aspects.

You will learn extended skills in:

  • Botanical surveys
  • Vegetation condition assessments
  • Vegetation mapping
  • Plant identification
  • Written input to ecological reports

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • AQF level 7 Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor Degree) including Australian ecology and botany
  • Current driver's licence
  • Resident within daily commuting distance of Cooma or Springwood office

This role is suitable for someone with basic skills in plant identification, plant community identification and/or vegetation mapping. It is a junior role that would suit someone with an interest in learning from senior experienced scientists, willing to commit two years to learning the role.
