Information Technology Leader

As an Information Technology Leader, you will be responsible for providing intellectual and operational leadership across a Technology and Cyber Security Branch.

Key responsibilities include overseeing national VET data systems and infrastructure, delivering all internal IT services, and ensuring the organization's IT platform is secure, compliant, and future-ready.

You will lead the development and execution of a strategic IT roadmap, driving innovation across technologies, systems, and business applications.

Additionally, you will oversee cyber security strategy, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure a secure environment.

Strong leadership skills are required to foster a culture of continuous improvement, customer service excellence, and collaboration within the team.

  • Significant knowledge and experience providing information technology services
  • Implementing cyber security practices and leading staff
  • Managing projects within agreed scope, budget, and success criteria
  • Knowledge of current issues and policies in the Australian vocational education system
  • Relevant qualifications in information technology or a related discipline

This role contributes to the VET Data Streamlining program, collaborating with senior leaders to manage the transition to a new technology and data environment.
