Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Packaging Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for wrapping and labeling meat products using a wrapping machine, as well as stocking display cases and operating the meat grinder.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and reassemble equipment sanitized the previous night, rework display case and rotate product.
  • Take large trays of styro-packaged meat from large wheeled racks and place individual packages into the automatic wrapping machine, following safety and security procedures.
  • Set labeler according to product type and price, print and apply labels to product.
  • Put wrapped and labeled meat on large trays of large wheeled cart and stock in display case by reaching through sliding windows or moving rack to floor.
  • Operate meat grinder, dump meat into top of machine and check fat content of each batch from grinder, following proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished product.
  • Clean and sanitize area throughout the day, perform duties to comply with health code such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
  • Perform routine maintenance for machinery, equipment, and implements.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers.
