Overview

RSM is a leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services to clients across various industries. We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Description

As a Financial Reporting Specialist at RSM, you will be responsible for analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;
  • Applies knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry;
  • Assists graduates with work and acts as a mentor/buddy;
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
  • Prepares documents for client meetings with Partner;
  • Helps identify, research and resolve all complex accounting issues;
  • Prepares and analyses management accounting reports; and
  • Conducts tax compliance reviews of tax returns and FBT returns.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Business/Commerce degree with Accounting Major;
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong Communication and Analytical skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Committed to continuing professional development.
